In addition, there is no single date on which all CalFresh benefits are issued.
Instead, Food Stamps Benefits are deposited on EBT Cards over the first 10 days of every month.
When your food stamps benefit is deposited on your EBT Card depends on the last digit of your case number.
Benefits are available on Weekends and Holidays.
Any remaining balance on your EBT card is added to the next month’s balance.

You can Appeal the Decision to Cutoff your Benefits
If you disagree with a decision by the county CDSS office to cut off your SNAP benefits (CalFresh), you can appeal and ask for a hearing in writing or by phone.

The CDSS hearing office must get your appeal within 90 days of the decision to cut off your benefits.
If you want to keep your benefits during the appeal, your appeal must be received within 10 days of the date the notice was mailed.
However, even if you appeal within 10 days, CDSS cannot continue your SNAP benefits beyond the end of your most recent certification period.

This is the easiest and quickest way to locate the current balance on your California EBT Card.
Once you locate your last receipt, the card balance will be listed at the bottom of your grocery store receipt or the ATM receipt if you also get cash benefits.

Option 2 – Login to CalFresh EBT Card Account
The second option for checking your California EBT Card balance is online through the Advantage Card website.
To log in, visit the ebt.ca.gov sign in, then enter your User ID and password.
