In the state of California, there are currently 2,684,296 households receiving SNAP benefits or Food Stamps, with about 4,741,370 Californians receiving benefits in June 2022 alone, according to USDA data. If you are currently receiving SNAP benefits in California, knowing when your food stamps will be deposited into your EBT card is important in helping you budget for the month. In this post, we will provide the California Food Stamps Payment Schedule for November 2022, including Cash Assistance deposits.
In the state of California, each county distributes SNAP benefits to those who qualify.
In addition, there is no single date on which all SNAP benefits are issued.
Instead, in all counties, benefits are sent out over the first 10 days of every month, based on the last digit of your case number.
See below for the CalFresh payment schedule for California for November 2022.

When your Cash Assistance benefit is deposited on your EBT Card depends on the last digit of your case number.
Benefits are available on Weekends and Holidays.
Any remaining balance on your EBT card is added to the next month’s balance.
Here is the schedule of payment based on the last digit of your case number:
|Case Number ends in||Cash Assistance Benefits are deposited on|
The chart below shows the maximum SNAP benefits you can get based on the number of people in your household.
To calculate the exact amount you are likely to get based on your household income, see our post on California SNAP Calculator.

All SNAP households should receive their November benefits according to schedule.
If you did not receive your food stamps on schedule, call the SNAP office to find out why.
Additionally, you can use CalFresh benefits to purchase produce at farmers’ markets, including markets that offer double bucks.
Each year, the USDA is responsible for setting the Income Eligibility Standards for SNAP. These standards are then used to perform an income test on all households that apply for food stamp benefits.
The income test is required for all households, unless your household is already receiving cash assistance benefits from the federal government or your state.
The CalFresh Income Limit for 2022-2023 is based on your household’s total income and size.
Here’s the new 2022-2023 increase in CalFresh Income Limit requirements.

Market Match is a nutrition incentive program offered at 130 farmers’ markets across the state of California.
The program doubles customers’ buying power when they spend their CalFresh EBT benefits at participating markets.
Market Match supports local farms and helps low-income shoppers afford more locally grown fruits and vegetables.
Getting market match dollars is easy.
Simply visit the market info booth, where staff will swipe your EBT card for the amount you choose.
Then the market manager provides $1 wooden tokens that can be used like cash at the farmers’ stalls to purchase many foods, plus seeds/plants that produce food in a garden.
With Market Match, you will also receive a bonus of free Market Match dollar tokens on top of that, to stretch your CalFresh dollars further.
This bonus matching benefit is available once per market day, all season long as funds permit.
Market Match makes fresh produce affordable to low-income families.
Fruit and vegetables are an essential part of a healthy diet, but they cost more per calorie than most processed foods.
Therefore families on a tight food budget are often unable to afford enough for optimum health.
Market Match makes food stamp dollars go farther, and it also helps level the playing field by making local and sustainable produce more accessible to people with limited income.
