Below is the current list of grocery stores that accept EBT in California for delivery (and pickup).

For each grocery store, we have provided a detailed step by step process on how to use your CalFresh EBT card online for delivery or pickup.

Each store has a slightly different process of how to purchase EBT eligible items online and use your EBT card at checkout.

Walmart

You can use your CalFresh EBT online to pay for SNAP eligible items at Walmart.

Here’s how it works in 4 easy steps:

Step 1 – Update your payment info

To be able to use your CalFresh EBT card to shop online at Walmart, you first need to sign into your Walmart pickup & delivery account.

Visit the Walmart SNAP website here.

If you do not have a Walmart online account, you can create one.

Once you have signed in, Select “Payment Methods”.

If your local store accepts EBT Online, you’ll see an option to add your EBT card to your account.

Next, add your EBT card information, then click Save Card.

By connecting your EBT card to your account, you’ll be able to use EBT Online with no-basket minimums. (Please allow up to 24 hours for the no-basket minimum to take effect on your account.)

Step 2 – Build your cart & check out

Once your payment information is updated, you can now shop online with your EBT by adding EBT eligible items to your cart.

Once you are done selecting your items, you can view your cart and see the total for EBT-eligible items, as shown in the image below.

After reviewing the items in your card, you can select “Checkout” to proceed.

Step 3 – Pay with your EBT card

On the Select payment method screen, select the checkbox to pay with EBT.

Next, enter the EBT food or EBT cash amount you’d like to use.

If you do not have enough money on your EBT card to cover the entire order, you can split up the remaining amount with a personal debit or credit card.

Once you’re finished entering a payment method(s), select “Continue”.

Step 4 – Place your order

After selecting “Continue”, you will be directed to an external page to enter your PIN as shown in the image below.

Please note that the numbers on the pin pad will shuffle after each entry for security purposes.

Once you’ve entered your PIN, you’ll be linked back to Walmart to Complete your Order.

Here’s how it works in 4 easy steps:

Step 1 – Visit the Amazon SNAP website

Visit the Amazon.com SNAP website by clicking here – Amazon.com/SNAP.

Step 2 – Create an Amazon account or Sign-in

The next step in the process is to create an Amazon account or sign in if you’re already an Amazon customer.

Step 3 – Add CalFresh EBT Card

Next, follow the on screen instructions to add your CalFresh EBT card to your Amazon.com account. This step is required in order to shop on Amazon using CalFresh.

Step 4 – Start shopping!

Now that you have added your EBT card to your Amazon account, you can now begin to shop for SNAP eligible items on Amazon.

To find SNAP eligible items, type “snap EBT eligible food” into the Amazon.com search bar and you will see a list of items that can be purchased with SNAP.

Step 1 – Add your EBT SNAP card

Go to your Instacart Account Settings to add your CalFresh SNAP card as a payment method.

Click here to visit the Instacart page.

Step 2 – Shop for eligible items

Many staple foods and non-alcoholic beverages are eligible for EBT SNAP. These products are marked with an ‘EBT’ label when browsing at participating stores.

Step 3 – Check out with EBT SNAP

At checkout, make sure EBT SNAP is selected as a payment method. You’ll be able to select the amount paid by EBT SNAP.
